to the left of the Visitor Center at the Texas State Cemetery is the tallest in Texas. The
single-star state flag flying from the staff was also the flag of the Republic of Texas. |

Visitors Center at the Texas State Cemetery is made of Texas limestone. The design of the center
resembles the long barracks at the Alamo and the granary at Mission San
Jose. |

The
seal is a part of the floor inside the entrance of the Visitors Center,
and part of the Texas State Cemetery's restoration project, 1994-97. The seal's
inclusion marked the successful completion of the project in 1997. |
