Biography of Jackson B. Ross
Ennis, Texas
Jackson Ross was a captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He entered the Air Corps in April of 1942, and took advance training at Eaker Air Force Base at Blytheville, Arkansas, where he was awarded his wings, and received his commission as a second lieutenant. He served in the 13th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Group in New Guinea and the Philippines. He died on May 27, 1945 over Luzon.
Jackson was the son of Mrs. Pattie Ross of Ennis.
He is listed on the Memorial monument to Ennis War Dead and the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
