Second Lieutenant, United States Army Air corps; Entered the Air Corps in November of 1940, and trained as a pilot at Luke Field, Arizona and Tallahassee, Florida and South Carolina in Fighter bombers; Died on November 31, 1943 in airplane crash on runway; Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. and Kate Nichols Sr. of Waxahachie; Home on leave August 3, 1943; Listed on Waxahachie Daily Light Honor Roll; Listed on Waxahachie First Methodist Church Honor Roll.
