Corporal, United States Army; Entered the Army in February of 1942, and trained at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, Camp Cooke, California and Camp Young, California, and served in Field Artillery in North Africa; Died in August of 1943 in North Africa; Son of Mrs. Mary Manning of Waxahachie; Reared in Howard; Attended Howard schools; Graduated Bardwell High School; Draftsman for Triple A Headquarters in Waxahachie; Memorial service held at Baptist Church of Howard.
