Biography of James Walter "Jimmy" Goodwin

Jimmy Goodwin was a platoon sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was in the 26th Marines, 5th Marine Division. He landed on Iwo Jima on February 19, 1945. He died of wounds on March 7. He is listed on the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
