Biography of George M. Goddard, Jr.

Ennis, Texas
George Goddard was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He entered the Air Corps in November of 1941. He trained in California and Arizona, and served in Greenland, Iceland, Africa and Italy. He died on February 22, 1944 over Regensburg, Germany.
George was the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Goddard Sr. He was the husband of Evelyn James Goddard. He Graduated Ennis High School, and attended Weatherford College and North Texas State Teachers College.
He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
He is listed on the Memorial Monument to Ennis War Dead and the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
