Biography of Van T. Davis

Maypearl, Texas
Van Davis was a private in the U.S. Army. He entered service on October 30, 1917. He trained at Fort Sam Houston near San Antonio. He was assigned to the Cook, Machine Shop, Truck Unit #401, 304th Quarter Master Corps. He shipped out to France on September 4, 1918 and died of pneumonia on October 26, 1918.
Van was the son of Aaron and Ada Davis, then living in Milford, Texas
Van Davis is listed on the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
