Reburial Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery

On January 13, 1949 Mrs. Marjorie C. Killian received a telegram notifying her that the remains of the late Lieutenant (j.g.) Theodore Roosevelt Curby was enroute to the United States, and stated that their records indicated the remains would be interred in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. It had been almost four-years since Ted was killed in a kamikaze attack on April 28, 1945 aboard the USS Daly. Marjorie Charlotte Curby was remarried, and living in Arizona with her second husband and five-year old son Loyd George Curby.

On March 11, 1949 the remains of Lieutenant (j.g.) Theodore Roosevelt Curby was reburied at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas in plot R O 167.
