Corporal, United States Army; Entered Army in July of 1941, and trained at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina with 79th Field Artillery, and served on Bouganville in the South Pacific; Died on March 16, 1944 on Bouganville; Son of Mrs. Allie Creed of Waxahachie; Wired his mother an orchid for Easter of 1944; Listed on Waxahachie Daily Light Honor Roll; Awarded Purple Heart Medal.
