Biography of Jessie F. Cleveland

Ennis, Texas
Jessie Cleveland was a corporal in the U.S. Army. He entered the army in February of 1943, and took his training in Texas. He served with the engineers in England and France. He died on June 6, 1944 on the beach at Normandy.
Jessie was the son of J. J. Cleveland of Ennis. He was born March 10, 1915. He was the husband of Julia Ray Cleveland of Ennis. He is buried in the family lot at Myrtle Cemetery.
He is listed on the Memorial Monument to Ennis War Dead and the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
