Biography of William I. Berrier

Maypearl, Texas
William Berrier was a corporal in the United States Army. He served in the Philippines at Bataan. He was wounded, and taken prisoner by the Japanese. He died in a Japanese POW camp on October 24, 1942.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Berrier of Dallas, formerly of Waxahachie. A cenotaph stands in his memory in Maypearl Cemetery. He is listed on the Waxahachie Daily Light Honor Roll and the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
