Biography of Cecil Edgar Barker

Crisp, Texas

Cecil Barker was a private in the U.S. Army. He entered the Army in June of 1941, and trained in Texas and Maryland. He served in Africa, and died there on August 11, 1943.

Cecil was the son of Mrs. Sallie Barker of Crisp. He was the husband of Margaret Ruth Slay Barker of Waxahachie. He is buried in Palmer Cemetery.

Cecil is listed on the Memorial Monument to Ennis War Dead and the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
