Biography of Marvin Hubert Allen

Boyce, Texas
Hubert Allen was a corporal in the U.S. Army. He entered the Army in April of 1942, and trained in Georgia. He served in the 507th Paratroopers in Ireland, England and France. He was killed in the Normandy invasion on June 11, 1944.
Hubert was the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Allen. He is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery section four.
He is listed on the Waxahachie Daily Light Honor Roll, the Monument to Ennis War Dead and the Ellis County Veterans Memorial. He was awarded the Presidential Citation and the Purple Heart Medal.
